The Douglas C. Mackay Outstanding Paper Award was an annual award granted from 2001 to 2005. During this time, CJAS was based at Dalhousie University and the financial awards were made possible by a contribution from the Douglas C. Mackay Fund at Dalhousie’s School of Business.

Beginning in 2006 for a five-year term, the best paper award was replaced with the Verity International Award for Overall Outstanding Paper in Management.
